Los Angeles – The Antonio for California campaign released its second television ad: “I Believe.” The 30-second ad began airing over the weekend. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has long been a champion for core California values of equality, justice and opportunity.
Villaraigosa is running on a platform of bringing people together to build a stronger California. “I Believe” reinforces his pledge to be a Governor for every Californian, in every part of the state. The ad lets voters know that Villaraigosa will be on their side and fighting for them, not catering to the wealthy or powerful special interests.
The Villaraigosa campaign has the momentum in these final weeks of the primary campaign. Villaraigosa has picked up the endorsements of the Los Angeles Times, San Diego Union-Tribune and La Opinion, in addition to elected officials and community leaders throughout California.

Script: ‘I Believe’
This is the kind of governor I’ll be.
I believe in standing up for people who work hard.
I believe in focusing on better jobs and better schools for kids who have no other way up.
I believe in taking on the school establishment that cares more about what used to be, than what should be.
I believe in protecting DREAMers and immigrants.
And healthcare for the people in danger of losing it.
I’m not a Democrat for the powerful, I’ll be a governor who empowers you.
